Hole drilling
Our current drilling devices are miniature, PC-controlled, 3-axis machines which may be pre-programmed to drill the hole with an orbital motion :

The long-term reliability of residual stress results from Stresscraft is brought about by the consistent use of all the following component parts :
rigorous experimental and gauge installation procedures,
specialised strain gauge rosettes,
specialised tungsten carbide burs driven by medium-speed motors,
highly controllable hole drilling machines,
pre-determined drilling and calculation increments,
proven strain-to-stress software using the ‘integral method',
an effective quality management system.
Additional components extend the use of the hole drilling method into more difficult conditions :
alternative / adaptable strain rosette layouts,
alternative drill formats (materials, shapes, lengths),
a set of adaptable drilling heads for use in locations of restricted access,
adaptable software for addressing different drilling and calculation depths,
